A festive and friendly atmosphere
for Saint NicholasA breath-taking view
Climb aboard the big wheel on Place de la Carrière for an incredible view of the city’s 18th-century architectural ensemble! While waiting in the queue, children (and adults) get impatient, and there’s a bit of teasing for those who are nervous for the ride. Settle into the pod and slowly begin your ascent. Place Vaudémont is already in view, and you’ll soon admire the Ville Vieille on one side of the ride. On the other side, the horizon emerges little by little above the Arc Héré triumphal arch, with the festive Place Stanislas in sight. It’s the perfect time to take out your camera or phone and capture the moment (without forgetting to enjoy it in the present!). At night, the view is even more magical, with illuminations throughout the city and the lights of the Christmas tree on Place Stanislas.
Back on stable ground, just at the foot of the big wheel, take a stroll through the Christmas village and enjoy a mulled wine, an aperitif, or a meal on the gowhile the kids take a ride on the carousel.
