"Eighty years after the end of the Second World War, the Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine is at Nancy's Zénith for a film-concert aimed at teenagers and their parents. The show evokes the tragic period our ancestors lived through between 1914 and 1945, from Verdun to Auschwitz, and recounts the slide of part of European youth towards radicalism. While filmed archives are projected onto a large screen and the orchestra plays original music, two narrators read letters written a century ago by young French, Germans, Spaniards, Italians and Belgians. A poignant show, where history is told from the perspective of men and women.
