Since the 1980s, social innovation has been presented as an alternative to technological innovation, which is often cited as the driving force behind environmental crises. All too often reduced to a virtuous label, it sometimes lacks ownership and concrete impact. So how can we define this innovation, model its variants and guarantee its actual implementation? This talk explores these issues, drawing on social work to define social impact criteria and ensure genuine transformation through innovation.

Conference moderated by Aurélien Carotenuto-Garot, PhD in Sociology, researcher on the prefiguration of the ODSAPR, Laboratoire Cresppa-GTM, Université Paris 8 - Vincennes Saint-Denis.
