EXHIBITION - ARCHAEO IN PHOTOS

Forget Professor Jones and other clichés from the movies... here, we reveal the true face of the archaeologist and his practice!
Alexandrine Lallemand, a graduate in History, Heritage and Culture, presents an exhibition of photographs depicting moments in the daily life of Meurthe-et-Moselle archaeologists from 1967 to the present day. Between work on the site and more convivial daily life, these men and women live with archaeology at every moment.
You'll find archive photos, selected from the files of the Metz Regional Archaeology Department, and shots taken during work sites run by INRAP, the Vosges Departmental Council and the Escles-Archéologie association in 2024.
The aim is to provide a glimpse into the daily lives of these passionate archaeologists, who help us to learn more and more about the history of our past societies, our environment and so on.
The exhibition is open to all.
