The Madame de Graffigny gallery in Villers-lès-Nancy hosts an exhibition of Art Deco glassware from the collections of the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nancy.

Art Deco glassware, which appeared in the 1920s and 1930s, embodies the elegance and modernity of the period. Inspired by cubism, exoticism and industrialization, it is characterized by geometric shapes, stylized motifs and the use of luxurious materials such as opalescent glass, cut crystal and enamelled glass. Master glassmakers such as René Lalique, Daum and Sabino marked this period by creating refined pieces, from vases to lighting fixtures, reflecting a perfect balance between sophistication and functionality. Today, Art Deco glassware remains a timeless symbol of refinement and craftsmanship.

As part of this off-site exhibition and the Métro'folies year dedicated to Art Deco, the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nancy is exhibiting remarkable pieces from its reserves.
