What is a memory? How does it manifest itself? What does it say about us, about our ability to remember? These are the questions Jeannie Brie has been exploring in her work over the past few years. She questions the recollection of memories and the construction of a memory, using a corpus of images based on a series of home movies, images that constitute the resource for a work in progress.

What does it say about us, about our ability to remember? These are the questions Jeannie Brie has been exploring in her work over the past few years. In Singuliers Pluriel, Jeannie Brie offers a new reading of this work, transforming it into a collective gesture. Immersed in a theater of memory, the spectator wanders through a space rich in images-memories that can only be grasped in snatches, in convolutions, and escape as soon as you get too close, leaving a fleeting impression of déjà vu in the distance. In this way, she entrusts each of us with the mission of translating the fickleness of our memories.
