Gwen Rouger - Tente de Chantier

Show, representation, Music in Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy

This worksite tent won't be set up in a real construction site, so there's no risk of hearing the deafening sound of a jackhammer or the languid cooing of a concrete mixer. Here, it's a piano taken out of its natural space, the concert hall.

    MUSIC - PUBLIC WORKS
This worksite tent won't be set up in a real construction site, so there's no risk of hearing the deafening sound of a jackhammer or the languid cooing of a concrete mixer. Here, it's a piano taken out of its natural space, the concert hall.
Gwen Rouger came up with the funny idea of playing the piano with a spectator in a construction tent, in order to invent a playful and joyful musical encounter based on listening. One person at a time will be invited for a close-up experience of the instrument. The boundary between artist and spectator is deconstructed and reinvented, just like the piece being performed. Tente de chantier is an intimate and unusual encounter at the heart of creation, sound and shared imagination.

Performance by appointment, 1 person at a time
Children welcome! Recommended for ages 08 and up (accompanying adult must wait outside). Tente de chantier is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
