L'atelier portager

The project had been in gestation for a few years, and will see the light of day in 2025. The creation of a workshop dedicated to vegetable gardening and food growing inside the municipal greenhouses is an opportunity to invite citizens to learn directly from our professional gardeners. The first step is to lay out the space: lean-tos, paths, accessibility, demarcation of growing areas. Once this first phase is complete, a period of experimentation will begin from spring 2025 until harvest time in September. In 2026, the idea is to turn this place of sharing into a soil research site in partnership with Nancy-based scientists specializing in this field. Changes in substrate quality would be monitored to observe the effects of organic practices. The kitchen garden could also serve as a framework for joint interventions/workshops/conferences between scientists, gardeners and citizens.

Please note: this workshop is reserved for a group of around 10 people, who will need to commit to the whole season.
Registration for this group is preferably reserved for residents of the Saint-Pierre René II Bonsecours neighborhood, in conjunction with the neighborhood life workshop.
