Park and garden in Laneuveville-devant-Nancy
  • Located in the communes of Jarville-la-Malgrange and Laneuveville-devant-Nancy, this 14-hectare park is an open book on the art of gardens and the heritage of Lorraine. Different atmospheres are revealed between the Féru des Sciences and the château. Located in the communes of Jarville-la-Malgrange and Laneuveville-devant-Nancy, this 14-hectare park is an open book on the art of gardens and the heritage of Lorraine. Different atmospheres are revealed between the Féru des Sciences and the château. The wooded areas around the museum are followed by a beautiful panorama of the château and its clearing of century-old trees, lime, Atlas cedar, chestnut and a gigantic pedunculate oak.

Elements of the classical French garden still survive, such as the water mirror near the château and the large straight lines of trees. Some of the statues, loves and vases from the former Château de la Malgrange add to the charm of the place. The chapel is reminiscent of the many hermitages that sprang up around Nancy in the early 17th century.
