Projection - encounters with remarkable men

One-off screening of the film Rencontres avec des Hommes Remarquables.

Directed by Peter Brook in 1979 and remastered with the support of the Centre National de Cinématographie in 2015, the film Rencontres avec des Hommes Remarquables (Encounters with Remarkable Men) recounts the initiatory journey of one man, G.I. Gurdjieff. In the course of his travels, he rediscovered the trace of an ancient knowledge that he later passed on to his students, particularly in France. The film's central theme is the search for the meaning and purpose of human existence. A testimony to an extraordinary adventure which, through images, will perhaps allow us to feel the very nature of the force that drives the seeker of Truth.

After the screening, there will be a discussion with students from Strasbourg's Gurdjieff group.
