STANISLAS LIBRARY

Historic site and monument, Classical in Nancy
  • Founded by Stanislas in the 18th century, the current building was constructed between 1770 and 1778. The superb 18th-century woodwork in the reading room comes from the former Jesuit university in Pont-à-Mousson.
The Bibliothèque Stanislas is part of the Nancy library network, alongside the Médiathèque Manufacture, the Médiathèque Haut-du-Lièvre and the Mairie-Médiathèque saint-Pierre. One of its main missions is to collect, promote and preserve documents from Lorraine.
