The origins of this opera lie in miracles, those events that defy science: the great and the small that - no matter how tiny - can change the course of a life. Where have these miracles, so common in the Middle Ages, gone in our rationalized world? Have they deserted us, taking with them the hope that "everything can change"? Samuel Achache and his band refuse to believe that magic is dead: they are convinced that the impossible and the unthinkable can happen at any moment, even in the banality of everyday life: in the street, in a bar, in the hospital, in a motel or in the concourse of a train station... For a year, they collected the ordinary and extraordinary stories of Nancy residents from all walks of life. A journey that took them all the way to Italy, to Naples, known as the city of miracles.
