The internationally-renowned Portuguese artist won the City of Nancy's call for projects with a proposal in line with his scratching the surface approach. These are large-scale frescoes engraved with hammers, chisels and jackhammers using the artist's highly specific technique.
Most of these works depict anonymous faces, in a bid to put people back at the heart of the city and involve them in its life.

The project is supported by the Le Loup Blanc agency, which has been working on street art with 17 classes from the Émille Gallé school group since September 2018.
